About this site

This blog is intended to be a collection of my ideas and rants about topics that interest me, primarily science, cosmology and their importance in the world. I try to avoid opinion pieces, but they will come up from time to time..

I compile a lot of media from talks, speeches, articles, and news clips from and about prominent scientists and philosophers; You’ll often hear me echo great sentiments from those I consider truly profound. But I don’t want to just be a rehash and relink other stories or videos. I want to foster a tangible analysis of science from the perspective of an inspired layman.

I don’t intend to ‘convert’ anyone with my views. I only hope to provide inquisitive and thought-provoking information and to encourage and inspire others to engage in rational and well-reasoned skepticism to gather evidence in understanding the world around them.

About me

I’m a 27 year old web developer in Southern California. I’ve considered myself somewhat of an intellectual for a long time but only recently have I been deeply interested in science philosophy and science education. While I don’t bring my political views into my blog, I will from time to time share my views on anti-reality and anti-science people in general. While it will not happen in my lifetime, I have a strong desire to see humanity move away from superstition, fear of the dark, boogey men, and magical men in the sky, and see humanity instead move towards discovery, understanding and eventually become a space faring species. The universe is an amazing awe-inspiring place. To deny yourself the rational capacity to understand it is to do a great disservice to yourself and others for your short period of time on this earth.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and that’s a great thing. But you are not entitled to your own facts.

I agree, I would like to see all humans bond together… forgetting all barriers (race, religion, opinions, etc) and work together to branch out into the galaxy. For all we know, the key to existence could be out there, but we are so stuck on what is here that we are not focusing on whats more important- the unknown universe!
